Jerard obtained his medical degree from the University of Western Australia and then completed specialist training in urology across Western Australian hospitals, being admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2002. He subsequently completed a fellowship in advanced urology at Hôpital Bichat – Claude Bernard in Paris. Passionate about teaching, Jerard spent considerable time on the national board of urological training and continues to teach medical students, junior medical staff and urological trainees. Jerard has a special interest in urological oncology, laparoscopy and reconstructive surgery. His other interests include cycling, cooking and family time. In addition to the PCC, Jerard also consults at St John of God Mount Lawley Medical Centre. Languages: English French Arabic Italian

Dr Andrew Tan

Dr Andrew Tan

Originally from New Zealand, Andrew completed his initial medical degree and specialist urological training at the University of Otago. He was subsequently awarded a travelling scholarship by the Endourology Society and undertook a fellowship in laparoscopy and endourology at University of Western Ontario in Canada. Andrew’s main area of interest is uro-oncology with a particular focus on kidney and prostate cancer, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, and minimally invasive treatment of prostate enlargement with holmium laser surgery. Andrew has taught internationally on laparoscopy and laser surgery, and has published several research papers and book chapters. Andrew is a training supervisor in urology and also holds a consultant positon in urology and kidney transplant at Fiona Stanley Hospital. In addition to seeing patients at the PCC, he also practices at Hollywood Private Hospital, and is a visiting specialist to Geraldton. Andrew is married with three children, is a middle of the pack triathlete and enjoys cooking, reading about history, and family time.

Isaac obtained his undergraduate qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and Commerce from The University of Western Australia and then in Medicine from the University of Sydney. He then undertook advanced urological training in Western Australia and Victoria. In 2013 he was awarded the Keith Kirkland Travelling Fellowship in Urology. He was awarded his fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2015. In that year he underwent further observational training in the treatment of testicular cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York. Isaac is involved in regular teaching activities for trainees in urology and other surgical specialties. Isaac has current appointments and regular operating lists as at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Hollywood Private Hospital, Joondalup Health Campus, St John of God Hospital, Geraldton and Geraldton Regional Hospital. His other interests include water sports, middle and long distance running and raising his three children.

Aleksandra graduated from UWA and also completed specialist urological training in Western Australia. This was then followed by a 12-month fellowship at St Mary's Hospital, Portsmouth, UK. Aleksandra’s special interests include:
  • Complex endourology
  • Uro-oncology
  • Complete stone management
  • Laparoscopic renal surgery
  • Voiding dysfunction (male & female)
  • Urodynamics
  • Neuro-urology
Aleksandra holds full membership of the The Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand and is accredited at numerous Perth hospitals. In addition to patient consultation at the PCC, she also sees patients at her rooms in Mount Lawley.

Whether it’s for diagnosis or treatment, patients attending the PCC are treated as individuals by a team of specialist doctors and allied health professionals with complimentary skill sets who really do care. It’s a true multidisciplinary approach.
